Program Cost and Payment 2008

INNOVATE receives partial funding and support from our conference sponsors but the remainder of the conference costs must be made up through conference registration fees. Selected delegates to INNOVATE 2008 will be required to confirm their participation in the conference by payment of a required 50% deposit by January 15, 2008. $250 of this deposit is non-refundable.

Payment of INNOVATE 2008 conference registration fees will only be accepted in US dollars. Payment methods include:

  • Payment via debit or credit card in US dollars using the online registration system (coming soon).
  • Payment via US dollar check, money order or bank check/draft/cashier's check made payable to Rice University and mailed to the INNOVATE mailing address.

Conference Registration Fee for US Delegates - TBA

The conference registration fee for US-based delegates from Rice University, the University of Tulsa, the University of Pittsburgh, Georgia Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University and IAESTE US delegates includes:

  • Round-trip international airfare from point of international departure and airport transfers to/from hotel in Vietnam & Singapore
  • Double-occupancy accommodation in Vietnam & Singapore
  • Daily breakfast and meals included as part of the INNOVATE conference itinerary
  • Ground transportation abroad to all conference sites and events
  • Included cultural tours or special events as indicated in the conference itinerary

The conference registration fee DOES NOT include the following expenses:

  • Any required tuition, fees, or books for the INNOVATE Course as required by your home university.
  • Passport Application or Renewal Fees
  • Any required Visa Application & Processing Fees
  • Domestic airfare/travel to point of international departure
  • Travel immunizations or international health insurance coverage
  • Meals not included as part of the INNOVATE conference itinerary
  • Tips for guides, bus drivers or hotel staff
  • Laundry, internet and telephone charges
  • Personal spending money and incidental expenses

Conference Registration Fee for International Delegates - TBA

The conference registration fee for international delegates from the National University of Singapore, Keio University, Tokyo Institute of Technology or other international institutions includes:

  • Double-occupancy accommodation and daily breakfast in Vietnam & Singapore (if staying at conference hotel) *
  • Meals included as part of the INNOVATE conference itinerary
  • Ground transportation abroad to all conference sites and events
  • Included cultural tours or special events as indicated in the conference itinerary

*All international delegates are strongly encourage to stay at the conference hotel as this ensures the greatest level of participation and interaction with other INNOVATE delegates. However, delegates from HCM and Singapore will have the option of not staying at the conference hotel and making their own lodging arrangements. The cost of lodging and daily breakfast would then be deducted from your conference registration fee and you would be responsible for daily transportation to/from the conference hotel for all INNOVATE events. If you are an international delegate from HCM or Singapore who does not wish to stay at the conference hotel please email innovate@rice.edu for more information and to confirm your INNOVATE conference registration fee.
