INNOVATE Support

INNOVATE would like to acknowledge and thank the following sponsors of our conference. INNOVATE would not be possible without their generous contributions. INNOVATE enhances cultural understanding and creates opportunities for participants to develop international competencies needed to be successful contributors to the global marketplace. Sponsorship of the INNOVATE conference enables us to lower the conference registration fee for delegates greatly reducing the financial barrier to participation.

We would also like to recognize the generous support that many of our participating institutions provide their selected delegates through on-campus sponsorship or other support provided directly to their delegates. PRIMARY SPONSOR
	The INNOVATE conference receives partial funding and support through a National Science Foundation Partnership for International Research and Education (NSF-PIRE) grant awarded to Prof. Junichiro Kono and Sarah Phillips of Rice University and Dr. Cheryl Matherly as co-PI. This funding will be in effect through 2010.

NNOVATE 2009 Funding
	Academic Experiences Abroad, the INNOVATE Travel Agency, provided two partial land package scholarships to one Vietnamese delegate and one Taiwanese delegate to attend INNOVATE 2009. This support is provided as part of AEA's Scholarship & Giving Program.
	The Center for Global Education at the University of Tulsa provided $3,300 in support for two delegates from National Cheng Kung University to attend INNOVATE 2009 through the International Delegate Fund.
NNOVATE 2008 Funding
	For INNOVATE 2008 The Electrical and Computer Engineering department of Rice University has provided generous support for INNOVATE through funding for an INNOVATE Student Assistant to help with the organization and administration of INNOVATE and through sonsorship of the newly updated INNOVATE website.

INNOVATE 2007 Funding
	INNOVATE 2007: The James A Baker Institute for Public Policy of Rice University has generously provided $500 in general conference support for INNOVATE 2007.
	INNOVATE 2007: The Center for Global Education at the University of Tulsa provided $2,000 in support for delegates from institutions in India including IIT Bombay, Madras and Delhi to attend INNOVATE 2007 through the INNOVATE International Delegate Fund.
